Worth a Thousand Smiles

I am editing the photo's from my first gig as a photographer.  It is pretty exciting, but frustrating at the same time.  I never realized how much time can go into editing until now.  I am such a nit picker, and want everything to be perfect.  Since I am in the learning and growing stage of my business, I really want everything to be perfect.

Of course when I get to the point where I can print my label for the cd, I am out of color ink.  I run to walmart and am ready to go, or so I thought.  The last wipeout I had on my computer, made me have to re-install basically every program.  Well tonight I couldn't find the label making program.  Can we say OMG, I was ready to rip all of my hair out.  So instead of doing that, I am taking a mini break and posting my Photo Challenge for the day.

Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile

I'd say it's more of a group of photos.  My engagement photos.

I can't tell you how much fun I had while doing them with Joe and my parents.  My dad used my little sisters camera, and my mom came along a an assistant.  They turned out too cute.

Quick Side Note:

Bridget was asking me what nail polish I was wearing in my post from the March 19th Post.  It is by Elle, and the color is Fiji  and you can get it at walmart.

Only Happy Thoughts

Tonight I find myself enjoying this feeling of happiness.  Although I can hear the thunder and rain steadily outside, inside is only filled with love.  I made a promise to myself that I will stay as positive as possible this cycle.  No tears, no fears, only happiness.

Tonight I sip my fertility tea, and enjoy my life!  It also doesn't hurt that I added a little drop of honey.  Mmmmmm sweetness.

Today's Photo Challenge seems a bit negative to me, and I won't allow any negativity in my life.  I am sure you can guess what my answer would of been to this...

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of

Sleepy Sunday

It was a very slow start this morning after the crazy day I had yesterday.  I spent my morning grocery shopping, afternoon shopping, and evening shooting a birthday party.  For my first real gig, it was so much fun.  A friend I have met through Project Wedding asked if I'd come shoot her husband's 30th Birthday Day party.  She put in so many little touches to the party which made it super cute.  You can see my photography blog on it here.

When I was about to head out from the party, Liz gave me this bag of gifts to say Thank You.  I was not prepared with what lay inside.  It melted my heart to see how much effort she put into a Thank You gift.

See that adorable little necklace, that's a fertility necklace. She purchased it from the Etsy seller Starz Jewelry.  It came with a little note that read it's meaning, I have to share this with you.

"Pomegranate, Moonstone, & Miracles Necklace
Pomegranate - The common Thread- the color chosen to represent infertility awareness.  this necklace features a sterling silver charm that states Miracles because after all miracles to happen each & every day.  the round swarovski pearl is in a pomegranate color representing infertility awareness.  The teardrop shaped rainbow moonstone represents the many tears that are shed along ones journey through infertility.  Moonstone is also believed to aid in matters of love, fertility and childbirth."

This tea is amazing!!!!  I think I may be buying it in bulk this month!

I mean seriously, every single thing she gave me meant so much.  I know I have said this before, but I will say it again, I am so blessed to know and have such wonderful people in my life.  Liz you have made me feel so special and loved.  You gave my a wonderful opportunity to add to my portfolio for my budding business and then went above and beyond to tell me Thank You.  I can not Thank You enough and tell you how much this meant.

To end today's post, I will leave you with today's Photo Challenge

Day 27 - A picture of yourself and a family member

Just a quick post - Photo Challenge Day 26

I have a lot of fun planned for today!  I am going to meet up with Adrienne in Geneva Commons to enjoy the gorgeous weather and get some yummy starbucks.  We share a huge passion for that place, can we say addicting??!  I arrived late as always, but this time I had a great excuse.  I got some of the cutest nail polish ever today.  I had been eyeing it since I say it on Emily, from the Bachelor's nails.

Today is just a glimpse of my day.  I enjoy all of the time I get to spend with my girlfriends especially Adrienne.

With All Endings, Come a New Beginning

I want to start by thanking everyone who participated in the blog giveaway.  2 weeks ago I decided it was time to take a step back and take a break.  The medication dose I was on, was not high enough, quick enough.  I figured what better time and way to thank everyone who reads this blog and gives me the support I need on this journey of Infertility.

Today it came to an end.  I am very happy to announce that Ashley, a friend I have made through Project Wedding and still keep in touch with since my wedding has won the giveaway.  She was comment Number 7!!!  Please send me your mailing address and I will send you out this amazing headband!!  She has an adorable blog as well if you'd like to check it out.

If you want an adorable headpiece of your own.  Please check out Mila Rose Designs on http://www.etsy.com/.

Today I also had a doctor appointment, No miracle baby yet.  Time to start a new beginning and cycle.  I am super excited to start up the Bravelle again soon.

I spent the last hour having my heart melt by the newest little heart throb!!  Today my friend Megan gave birth to a handsome little boy.  Jeffery Robert, 10 Ibs. 13 Oz., 21 1/2 inches long.  Listening to his little grunts and watching those facial expressions is one of the most amazing things ever.

Congrats to the new Mom & Dad!!! Love you both, and Jeff so much!!!

Bon Jovi Concert & Day Eighteen

photoYesterday I spent the day in the Windy City.  It was a gloomy day, but those are some of my favorite days.  They are good days to lay in bed and watch lifetime movies all day to.  They are even better for the picture perfect background for a photoshoot.  And yesterday, it was a perfect day to spend with my older sister and mom.  My older sister lives in Chicago and since we would be out that way for a concert later that night, we decided to make a day of it.

I found a new route, I-55 from our house is amazingly fast and traffic was not so bad in the late morning hours and late evening on our way home.  Anyone who is traveling from Yorkville area to Chicago should take that route.

Once in Chicago, we had fun scoping out the new decor my sister has added to her cozy 1 bedroom apartment.  She has made it her own!!  Can I saw the girl has amazing style.  We all love out flea market and thrift store finds.

(How Amazing is this Chandelier?  She works at Anthropologie and gets amazing deals on amazing things like this!!)

We headed to The Boundary for a late lunch.  It was very quite at this time in the afternoon, but it was a perfect atmosphere for us to catch up on girl stuff.  We sat in a cozy booth next to a fire.  I recommend this place if your ever in the city and craving some spicy fish tacos.

We had to end things up with Liz, so we could make it to the Bon Jovi concert.  My best friend, Adrienne's mom had helped me get a pair of tickets for the concert.  I have always loved his music but never been to one of his concerts.  I can honestly say it is one of the best I have been to.  His energy and voice are out of this world.

Here are some pictures and the Setlist from last night.  The pictures go with the song above it.

Bon Jovi was like an energizer bunny!  So amazing to watch.

Day Fifteen, Sixteen and Seventeen

It's the 1/2 way point.  I only have 1 more week until I can begin my "cycle" again.  There are a lot of steps which go into the infertility process.  I don't think many people realize just how much needs to be done.  There are always chances you can get pregnant in between the trials of medication you are doing until you find the one that works.  Because of this, I need to go in for baselines, which are bloodwork and ultrasounds before I can be given Provera.  This is a drug that helps me get my period.  It has basically stopped coming on it's own, unless medication induced.

Then it's another bit of waiting, followed by more bloodwork and ultrasound appointments.  I am looking forward to this round on injections.  I am hopeful since we started to see progress once we increased the medications to where we thought they needed to be.  Only downfall is the costs, so fingers crossed this one works!!

If you have not already ready my giveaway post, you can still enter here.

The contest will end at 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday March 16th, I will select a winner using random.org.

Now back to my Photo Challenge.

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

I want to be a mother.  I want to experience all that comes with this.  I can't imagine the love and joy it brings a person to feel something, someone so amazing growing inside you.  I don't really have a picture to put here.  So for now I will leave it empty.  But the day I do become a mother, I will be back to share that picture.

Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you

My older sister Liz.  She has been living on her own without a room mate for years.  I have always been so proud of her, to have put herself through school and gotten the career she wanted.  She is a city girl, and lives the life she loves!!

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

I am not so sure I'd say this is something which has impacted my life recently.  I have always had a love for horses.  They give me the most comfort and relaxation while around them.  They are such goregous and strong animals to me.  I rode when I was younger, mostly english.  I got back into western riding when I got older.

I could not imagine a life without these goregous animals.  I can't wait till the day I can have my own.

Day Thirteen & Fourteen

I am still posting on my photo challenge.  Although it is hard to be on here everyday.  You know life, it has it's way of keeping you busy.  You don't always have time for the things you plan on doing.

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist

This one was an easy one, Did I mention that I am going to see him on concert on the 9th??? I am so excited.  I have never been to a Bon Jovi concert but have loved his songs for years.

Since I didn't post yesterday, I need to post another day today.

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

Again, another easy one.  This man has always been there for me when I needed him.  He has been a good friend, and amazing husband.  We met over 6 years ago and went through many bumps in the road to get to where we are today.  What doesn't break you will make you stronger.  I believe that saying!!

The Lake

Today is just a short post.

There is a place I can go, I can hear the waves crashing in and feel the sand beneath my toes.  I like to go there most when I am alone, although it is not so close to my house so that doesn't always happen.  I can open my mind and daydream for hours while here.  I love to close my eyes and imagine my future.

This is my place.

Day 12 - A picture of something you love
